These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Visionary Hearts Shamanic Mystery School (“Visionary Hearts,” “we,” “us” or “our”), founded by Robin Flynn and Darcy Kopas. They cover your use of wayoflove.ca, our emails and free practices, and the Way of Love membership. We have tried to write them in plain language. Please read them, especially the wellness disclaimer.
1. Agreeing to these terms
In short: By using our website or joining the Way of Love, you agree to these terms.
By visiting wayoflove.ca, signing up for our emails, receiving a free practice, or joining the Way of Love, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. Who can use the Way of Love
In short: Adults 18 and over.
Our website and membership are for adults who are at least 18 years old. By using them, you confirm that you are 18 or older and able to agree to these terms.
3. Important wellness disclaimer
In short: Our practices support your wellbeing, but they are not medical or mental health care.
The Way of Love offers spiritual, educational and contemplative practices, teachings and community. Our practices, including energy practices, guided meditations, prayers and neuro-somatic exercises, are offered for personal growth and wellbeing.
They are not medical, psychological or psychiatric advice, diagnosis or treatment, and they are not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. Robin Flynn and Darcy Kopas are spiritual teachers, not medical doctors or licensed therapists.
Please consult your doctor or a qualified professional about any physical or mental health concern, and do not stop or change any treatment or medication because of anything you learn from us. If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical emergency, please contact your local emergency services right away.
Some practices may bring up strong emotions or memories. Please go gently, listen to your body, pause whenever you need to, and take part only in ways that feel right and safe for you. You are responsible for your own choices and wellbeing while using our practices.
4. Membership, payments and cancelling
In short: Memberships are handled through Sutra, billed monthly, and you can cancel any time.
- Where membership lives. The Way of Love community, its content and its payments are provided through Sutra, our community platform. When you join, Sutra’s own terms and policies also apply.
- Billing. Membership is billed monthly at the price shown when you join, in U.S. dollars, until you cancel.
- Special offers. From time to time we may offer a reduced first month or a community rate. Each offer’s price, length and end date are shown with the offer. When an introductory period ends, your membership continues at the regular price unless you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel any time from your account. Cancelling stops future payments; payments already made are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
- Price changes. We may change our prices in the future. If the price of your ongoing membership changes, we will let you know in advance.
5. Our content and free practices
In short: Our teachings are for your personal use. Please do not copy or share them without permission.
The practices, teachings, recordings, videos, writings, guides, images and designs on our website and in the Way of Love are owned by Visionary Hearts or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws.
We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use them for your own practice. Please do not copy, record, share, sell, teach from, or publish our content, or use it for any commercial purpose, without our written permission. You are welcome to share links to our public pages.
6. Using our website and community respectfully
In short: Please be kind, honest and respectful.
When you use our website or take part in the community, please do not:
- break any law, or use our website for anything harmful or misleading;
- harass, threaten or disrespect others;
- share what other members say in private circles without their permission;
- post spam or advertising, or collect other people’s information;
- try to interfere with, hack, copy or scrape our website or services.
We may suspend or end access for anyone who does not follow these terms.
7. Links to other websites
In short: We are not responsible for other websites.
Our website links to other services, such as Sutra, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Those websites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
8. Our website is provided “as is”
In short: We do our best, but we cannot promise the website will always be perfect or available.
We work to keep our website accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise any particular results from our practices, and experiences differ from person to person.
9. Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, Visionary Hearts, Robin Flynn, Darcy Kopas and the people who work with us are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of our website, content or practices. Where we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
10. Your responsibility
You agree to take responsibility for, and to protect us from, claims that arise from your own misuse of our website or services or your breaking of these terms.
11. Your privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your personal information, and is part of these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
In short: We may update these terms from time to time.
When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we may also let you know by email or with a notice on our website. Continuing to use our website or membership after changes means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
In short: These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If a dispute cannot be resolved by talking with us first, it will be handled in the courts of British Columbia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
